| Our convoy of buses and NTVs had to stop at the intersection of Hwy. 54, visible on the left, and McGregor Range Rd. (in Otero Co., NM, 6 miles northeast of the TX border) for a long UP container train hauling ass northeast through TX and NM via former SP rails along the border of Ft. Bliss on 22 Feb. ’09. I and my WIARNG unit had just arrived there in preparation for our deployment in support of OIF. The sign denotes McGregor Base Camp, which is a small portion of Ft. Bliss. |
