According to Marty Bernard in one of his listings in the RR Picture Archives, this loco was originally built as HSJ #66 in 1892 at the CBQ shops in Aurora IL and became CB&Q #359 when the CBQ took over control of the line. It was retired in 1932 but was rebuilt at Denver for the Century of Progress Exposition as B&MR no. 35. Later it was re-lettered as H&StJ #35. |
