An empty coal train entering Bluefield Yard led by SD70 2504 and a loaded coal train leaving at the East end of Bluefield Yard at "RD" on a nice fall day. MOW crews are removing unused track as part of a yard reconfiguration which is still going on 4 years later. Conrail painted units were still fairly common at the time, as evidence by the Conrail CW40-8, the second unit in the loaded train was a leased Oakway SD60. |
