These were the original train sets that inaugurated the Paris-Lyon service in the early 80s. The survivors have all been repainted in the "dull" silver paint job. I rode these in the early years. What an improvement it was. Instead of riding from Lyon to Paris in 5-6 hours most of the time standing the all way, these trains would make the same trip in 2.5 hours (that is before they completed the line all the way from station to station) with all seats reserved. Thanks for sharing this shot.
