It was not uncommon for P&LE power to come into Buffalo over the NS on coal trains originating in southwest PA. It had once been common for their power to run into Binghamton, and sometimes on to New England. By this time, P&LE wos in trouble, and their pover did not venture beyond Buffalo often.
