Amtrak inherited a fleet of auto racks from Auto Train when it took over that operation. They typically were put on the rear of the train, as we see here at Woodbridge VA. Todays train has 34 cars. My notes dont break down the consist, but Id say about 24 of them are racks. It made for an impressive looking train. |
