You can almost hear the rain falling in this view looking east at Manhasset. A stop and proceed signal cuts through the gathering gloom in the distance. The building at left is the old post office. I can recall seeing MPB 54s leading eastbound trains here, the conductor tossing off mail bags to the platform on the lower level back in the 60s. |
