| This is looking east on the Soo Line Chicago to Twin Cities main during the summer of 1986, when the Soo shut it down after the Milwaukee Road merger. The Wisconsin Central took over the line sometime in 1987, so thankfully it was saved. It was actually in much better condition than most of the Milwaukees own main line to Chicago! |
