Nice view of the stubby legged Alton & Southern Rwy 0-8-0 switcher in the East St Louis yard. Number 7 was built by Alco-Brooks (c/n 58261) in December 1917 for the Aluminium Company of America as A&S 7. Along with the other ALS locos, were absorbed by the B&O in 1931, renumbered and reclassified but kept in their original ALS location the rest of their operating days. C.C.Grayson photo |
