Coasting down the steepest portion of the Carolina & Northwestern between Newton and Chester, SC on whats now NSs South Newton Lead, a rare three-unit lashup of older NS power coasts downhill with train P95. The South Newton Lead is only operated for one mile as a spur off of the NS S-Line, although rails are still in place many miles south to the other side of Maiden, NC. |
