Built by GE in July of 1975, this beefy unit was delivered to Detroit Edison for service in coal drags. Of the 5 GE U30C units built in 1975, units #018, 019 & 020 were equippped for mid-train operation (leader). All five were eventually sold to LS&I as their #3012-3016. Michael A. Tedesco slide |
