WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took while riding in a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train from Wilmington to North Philadelphia on 28 March 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #9016, a BS-6A built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1949 and rated at 600 horsepower. It is shifting a Railway Express car near the PRR's 30th Street Station. Visible in the background is a portion of a Railway Express Agency warehouse. |
