WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona on 28 March 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #4916, a GG-1 built in Juniata during June of 1942. It is departing the North Philadelphia Station with a 12-car train of Seaboard and Atlantic Coast Line passenger cars, heading to Washington from New York City. The time is 11:40 A.M. |
