WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona on 28 March 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #8507 and #8504. Both are ES-15M's built by EMD in 1952 and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. They are pulling a southbound 58-car mixed-cargo freight train past the North Philadelphia Station, with caboose #477757. The time is 2:10 P.M. |
