WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona on 28 March 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engine #4920 and another unit whose number is not recorded. #4920 is a GG-1 built in Juniata during July of 1942. They are arriving in the North Philadelphia Station with an 11-car train from New York City heading West to Harrisburg, Altoona, and Pittsburgh. The time is 2:15 P.M. |
