MNCR, To Grand Central Terminal, #3 of 4, 1980
MNCR. Here is the third of four successive original photos that I took while riding a Metro-North Commuter Railroad train from Larchmont to Grand Central Terminal on Sunday, 2 March 1980. In this photo, my train is crossing over to Track #3 so that it can stop at "Fordham" in about seven minutes. "Woodlawn" is where the two lines from/to Grand Central merge/split: Harlem to the front, New Haven to the left and right, Grand Central to the rear. Visible in the distance (F to R) is Metro-North's JO Tower, the Saw Mill River Parkway Bridge, as well as one of the highway bridges in Mount Vernon. Photo taken as my train is passing through Woodlawn Station.
