This locomotive was constructed in 1919 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works (2–8–0 builder's class 10-34$E 2059). Museum voluneteers rescued number 99 from a swap in Louisiana in the late 1960s and it arrived at Union in 1971. A cosmetic restoration was completed from 1972–77 under the direction of Earl Schuler. It is out of its normal home in Barn 9 for a thorough washing. |
