| My absolute favorite road in Florida is the AN. The Apalachicola Northerns blue and white scheme was simple but yet sweet and is classy. Here, basking in the sun- AN 721 is the last AN GP15-T to be in the blue and white scheme as the railroad was purchased by GWI in 05 and operations would go downhill from there. The AN operates once a week now and only runs between Chattahoochee and Hosford, FL to GP. Rumor has it the 721 will be dipped once mechanical repairs at Panama Citys Bayline shops is complete. |
