| Tennessee Southern power rests for the weekend on the old L & N Nashville & Decatur line at Columbia. The Tennessee Southern took over operations on what remains of the old N & D south to Pulaski (the section between Pulaski and North Athens, AL was abandoned in the 1980's) and the old N.F.&S. sub between Columbia and Florence, AL in 1989. They interchange with CSX's Nashville Sub at Godwin (on the north side of Columbia). The top of the old L & N Columbia passenger depot is visible above the string of covered hoppers in the background. |
