Photograph overlooking Acca Yard, Richmond, Virginia, in the early 1950's.
This early 1950's era photograph is very likely a view of Acca Yard thanks to key landmarks such as Parker's Field visible in the background. Date is an estimate. Photographer unknown. Thanks to Mike Woodruff for info.

Mike Woodruff General SAL's yard in Richmond was called Hermitage. That looks like the old Parker Field baseball stadium in the background, although I could be wrong about that. The shape is right, but I don't see any light towers (which it had in the 1950s), and I'm not sure the orientation is correct. 5/12/2020 3:55:59 PM
Nick Jobe General I think you're right about that being the Parker Field Baseball Stadium in the background. An answer for the light tower question is that this was probably taken in the early 1950's before the light towers were installed. (The field is said to have been renovated in 1954 with the addition of the light towers among other fixtures.) 5/13/2020 3:11:24 PM
