A day prior to Hurricane Ida bearing down on southern Louisiana, NS was in the process of moving trains north in anticipation of the hurricane. A good call, indeed. Hurricane Ida became one of the most devastating in US history. Pictured was NS 130 with NYC 1066 light engines about to head towards a train parked north of Laurel, I believe. There was two more trains behind this waiting to head north. |
