| Looking north from Ridge Road, the former Monon ROW which will be used for the South Shore West Lake extension has quite a high embankment along the way. Note the tree stumps and heavy brush that once hid this berm from sight has been removed. I-80/94 can barely be seen in the far distance as a brown/tan line at the end of the ROW. The trackage for the South Shore extension will pass under the expressway much like the Monon did years ago. |
