Front and back of the transfer tickets used in the 1970s for passengers to go between the Franklin Shuttle, on the BMT, and the IND Fulton St line. You got a ticket from a dispensing machine at one station, and dropped it in the box at the other. The Franklin Shuttle is a remnant of the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Fulton St el, torn down in 1940 after the IND line opened. |
