| This is an interested trio of Chicago, South Shore & South Bend items caught at the Michigan City Shops area. To the left corner is CSS interurban #26, one of the Pullman cars built in 1926. In the center of the photo is CSS freight motor #901. This electric steeplecab was built by Baldwin/Westinghouse in 1929 as IC #10001. The CSS acquaired it in 1941. Finally to the the far right is CSS maintenance of way line car #1100 rebuilt from an indiana Railroad interurban car. This is a photo from the orignal negative that Lawrence H. Boehning took over 67 years ago! |
