L054-12 charges the grade through Greene in notch 8 with MEC 505 - MEC 503 and close to forty cars from the Rumford Branch. The MEC 503 had suffered mechanical problems at Leeds Jct. requiring a maintainer and was isolated for the return trip west making MEC 505 do all of the work.
