| Originally built by EMD in August of 1953 as NYC E8A #4084, it bounced through the rosters during the NYC and PC collapses. It landed for a period of time on the New Jersey Dept of Transportation as seen here. An unknown railfan caught it in commuter service at Bay Head, NJ. No exact day or even month was given in 1981 for this photo so an approximate was used. |
