Harvey. Here is a photo via Rail Photo Service. Shown here is a pair of unidentified Pennsylvania Railroad "I" Class (2-10-0) "Decapod" steam locomotives serving as tail-end pushers on a freight train that's heading up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin, where they'll be uncoupled and returned to East Altoona for yet another helper-pusher run up "The Mountain." Partially visible in the left background is Altoona's 17th Street Bridge. The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded. |
