Note the concrete additions to the bridge abutment which were part of ConRail's "clearance improvement program" to improve clearances for double stacks and multi-levels. A number of the small pony truss bridges which span the B&A here and there were lifted about 18-24". Later, this and some others were eventually replaced with all-new structures. |
