Former Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh Station |
Description: |
The former BRP station as seen from the former Erie RR right of way now serves as a BRP Museum in Salamanca, NY. An unknown photographer took the photo. I've been there and even more spectacular than this station is the massive Erie Station that would have been behind the photographer. |

The Black Rock Tunnel built by the former Reading & Philadelphia RR in 1835 was the third rail tunnel ever built in the US. It's also still in use. The tunnel cut through a hill in Phoenixville, PA and is now owned by Norfolk Southern as part of the Harrisburg line. Jim Lockart took the color slide. |
