Reading Black Rock Tunnel
The Black Rock Tunnel built by the former Reading & Philadelphia RR in 1835 was the third rail tunnel ever built in the US. It's also still in use. The tunnel cut through a hill in Phoenixville, PA and is now owned by Norfolk Southern as part of the Harrisburg line. Jim Lockart took the color slide.
