Shown here is Grif Teller's painting entitled "Crossroads Of Commerce." It was published originally in 1953. Depicted in the center (F to R) are PRR engine #5898 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are EP-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #5898 was constructed in March of 1951. Also depicted (R to L) are PRR engine #2012 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All are BF-16's built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and rated at 1,600 horsepower each. #2012 was constructed in February of 1952 and retired in January of 1967. |
