It was published originally in the November 1979 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 48. Bottom Photos, Partial Caption: "In the late 1940's, the trailing truck of a Pennsy 4-8-2 derailed at the entrance to Mingo Junction Yard near Steubenville, O., as the engine was bringing in an ore train at 5 m.p.h. Skewing action caused the M to gently lay over on her side. Two derricks of 150- and 250-ton capacity were required to rerail the fallen monster." |
