Old SAL/CG interchange track |
Description: |
It appears the old SAL-SCL/CG-NS interchange track at Arlington is being cleared and readied for use. It has been several years since this track was used and now serves as an interchange between the GSWR and NS. I am not sure what would prompt it's return to service but not only was it being cleared, many new ties were being installed also. |

The GSWR northbound local is seen on former SAL trackage at Arlington GA. About 200 yards further north they will cross the NS Hilton district mainline. Just on the other side of the road they are crossing is the north leg of the wye that connects to the NS. The signal they are passing is an out of service approach signal that protected the SAL/CofG crossing. |
