Ribbon. Here is the first of six successive original photos that I took at the Passenger Station in Larchmont, New York, on 29 August 1984. Shown here are some of the men and machines that are engaged in installing "ribbon rail" on this stretch of track. Note that the near track (i.e., Track 4) still uses 39-foot lengths of "stick rail." |
