SP purchased a large group of these Tamper switch tampers in 1990-1991. This unit has a lower number so it is likely to be a 1990 model. About 4 years old, the paint is already badly faded. Surely the same paint formula used on locomotives that were coined "Desert Storm" units due to their paint flaking off in giant patches revealing the tan primer underneath. |
