Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train between SLOPE and WORKS Towers in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 06 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #5864 and two other units whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by EMD. #5864 is an EP-20 built in 1948 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. They are pulling a westbound passenger train into the Altoona Station; its platform is visible in the foreground. |
