| 17th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 10 July 1965. Shown here (F to R) are PRR engine #5762 and another "E" unit whose number was not recorded. #5762 is an EP-22 built by EMD in 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They are about to pass under the 17th Street Bridge in Juniata with a ten-car passenger train to Harrisburg, Philadelphia, and New York. On the left is the Westbound Classification Yard; the 8th Street Bridge is visible in the distance, along with the Juniata E&M Shop. |
