Derailment. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 21 May 1965. Shown here is one of the two oil-fired, steam-powered cranes hoisting one of the derailed freight cars, TLDX #2962. Looks like Great Northern box car #34371 is next in line. Even the Burro Crane in the background has a role to play in the process! (#13 of 14) |
