Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1752, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during April of 1914 and retired in December of 1948 after 34 years of faithful service. Note the piston extensions. This is the very first L-1S. William E. Burket Collection. |
