PRR SLOPE Tower, 1935
WB. Here is an image of a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in 1935. Prominent here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's SLOPE Tower. Note the double slip switch in the foreground. In the middle distance is the six-track signal bridge with semaphore signals. And at the right are the East Slope Helper Ready Tracks and the 24th Street Turntable. Photo taken from the 24th Street Bridge. William E. Burket Collection.
