This used to be the brains of the N Southern Pines crossover, now just brains for hold out signals. Sure wish the S line was still a mainline.....

Eugene Cain General CSX in Blunderville!!!! It was insane to abandon the S Line. Then they single-tracked the remaining A Line!!! They really had some Boneheads running things there for awhile!!! But this route may be restored. There have been plans for a while to rebuild the line for High Speed Passenger traffic and CSX would most likely route some trains back onto it i am certain. The A line is so conjested right now, CSX is actually restoring some of the double track back...I live near Savannah and i witnessed the same thing happen in 1986 on the Everett Sub south of Savannah. 10/10/2012 12:13:49 PM
